More life, more power, don’t waste time, so let’s shine, sunshowers, I bless mine, upon the riddim still flowing still winning, still reppin for the living, life's a blessing, keep giving uhhh. Keep moving, listen for life’s rhythm, don’t go against your grain, keep sight of the mission, close your eyes take your time, learn to trust your intuition, natural is the mystic manifest your inner-visions. Inner city life, inner city sights - confuse those inner city minds so break all the rules - ca the body is the temple but can also be a prison, most suffering is mental so control your own condition. Freedom must be taken, it's not something to be given, so rise up with the times heed the signs it’s been written, control your own destiny and make your own decisions, let the god inside rise recognise your own admission. Recognise that nothing will be given No one will be spared We must take if we wanna survive Time for action, recreate the world we live in Rise with the times, free your body, free your minds I’m aware of the agenda, history’s been hidden but the DNA remembers, seek a better way cause the earth needs new defenders take her back by any means keep it real no pretenders. Honourable rebel rise up with a vengeance, higher is the level attained we maintain a new presence, love maybe the core or essence but be ready for war ca times dread none can escape the present? Rich man, poor man, pauper or peasant, you won’t be excused so choose the right methods, so many are refused no weak heart inna session, channel your feelings escape your own oppression, Ca the bass and treble amplify my confessions, ring inna yuh ears messages of life’s lessons still growing still showing still counting my blessings, they can’t stop the flow ca we ah move effervescent. lyrics: Rider Shafique

about

A mainstay on the label, Dresden-born / Berlin-based B-boy Worf is up there with Kiat as the most consistent and prolific artist in the collective since his ‘City Of Meth’ EPs in back in 2018. Following various appearances and cameos on the imprint since, his emotional, hip-hop influenced designs are back in the form of his most accomplished release so far.

Four originals deep, by way of a link with one of the UK’s most distinctive and versatile voices in Rider Shafique, 4AM rings the alarm; a mind-bending, time-melting piece that flips from 160 to 120 and back again all the while retaining a powerful balance of extreme euphoria and extraordinary weight.

It’s followed by the lead single Recognize. Powered by Shafique’s purring consciousness, once again the Bristol MC captures the current tension and need for change, sawing through the chains of our perceptions with precision observation.

Thirsty is a deep dream jungle serenade. Big pads. Rolling breaks. Parameters set lightyears away. Cream commences the EP’s shutdown process with tension, introspection and a barbed sense of hope.

Complete with an instrumental of Recognize and artwork by Leipzig artist PM Hoffmann, 4AM EP is Maltin Worf’s most emotional and explorative release so far and one that transcends the current stasis we’re in and sets our hopes, and alarm clocks, for a freer future.
